The First Lady’s Project is to update and modernize the hallways and lobby area of the third floor in our Masonic Home.  The third floor consists of four wings and currently one of the wings is completely unusable.  This wing consists of eleven resident rooms that will need to be fully renovated to be able to have them occupied once again.  We plan to paint the hallways and lobby area, polish floors, update lighting, as well as update or replace the hung ceiling throughout.  In addition, we will update the furnishings, TV area, puzzle area, cabinetry, and décor.

Our goal would be to also complete the eleven resident rooms as well.  These rooms will be an expensive undertaking, as they need to have the bathrooms remodeled: tile, fixtures, etc.  We hope to get some of the rooms, if not all, renovated through the donation (sponsorship) of an individual, Lodge, Appendant Body, etc. A plaque will be posted at the entrance of the room recognizing that group’s generosity.

The donations to the First Lady’s Project received during our Official Visit Schedule will be dedicated to these renovations.
