2026 Lady's Project

Joyce Vest

The First Lady’s Project for this year is a powerful dual initiative that combines immediate humanitarian aid with long-term facility improvement at the Masonic Home.

In partnership with the Grand Masters Charity, the project focuses on fully activating the Masonic Outreach Program. This program provides supplemental care and financial assistance to Florida Masons and their families who are not residing in 4-star-plus facilities or who face financial barriers to proper in-home care. The goal is to ensure that every Brother and lady receives the same high standard of dignity and support currently enjoyed by residents of the Masonic Home itself.

Simultaneously, the project continues and expands the successful modernization effort begun by Lady Angie Atala. A currently unusable second-floor wing of the Masonic Home—containing eleven resident rooms—will undergo complete renovation. Together with the previously updated third-floor wing, this will create 22 new, fully modernized resident rooms ready for occupancy.

Key renovation elements include:
• Upgrading critical infrastructure
• Painting hallways and lobby areas
• Polishing floors
• Updating lighting and hanging ceilings
• Refreshing furnishings, common areas, and décor

The target is to complete these eleven rooms plus the major infrastructure work within the current Masonic Year. All donations received during the Official Visit Schedule will be dedicated directly to the Masonic Outreach Program, ensuring that generous support translates immediately into better care for our Florida Masonic Brothers and ladies in need.
